Lyles is back in Portland

Portland: The Maine Mammoths announce the re-signing of defensive lineman Derrick Lyles (6’2, 285). During his rookie season with the Mammoths last year, Lyles recorded 9 sacks and 13 assists along with one fumble recovery.

Prior to signing with Maine, Liles played college football at Texas Southern University in Houston Texas. Lyles finished his college playing career with 59 total tackles, 5.5 pass deflections, and two sacks.

Lyles is a native of Wesson, Mississippi and starred for the Wesson high football team playing tight end and linebacker. Lyles finished his high school career with 214 total tackles , three sacks, and two fumble recoveries.

The Maine Mammoths are members of the National Arena League (NAL).
