Robert Brown re-signs with Mammoths

PORTLAND- Defensive Back Robert Brown (5’10,185) signs with the Maine Mammoths for his seventh year of arena football, his second with the Mammoths. 
 
 
Last year with the Mammoths, Brown made 48 total tackles (38 solo) (20 assists), four interceptions, six pass breakups, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery. In 2017, Brown played for the Spokane Shock and recorded 40 tackles, 10 pass breakups, and three interceptions. On special teams with the Shock, Brown returned five kicks for 78 yards. During the 2016 season, he made 104 tackles, seven interceptions, and was named All-IFL. In 2015, Brown played with the Cedar Rapids Titans, having 31 tackles, five pass breakups, and one interception. On special teams, returned nine missed field goals for 268 yards and one touchdown. On kickoffs that year, Brown had 268 yards and two touchdowns on 30 returns. In his rookie season in 2014, Brown made 27 tackles, two pass breakups, one interception, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery. Brown started his professional career with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the Canadian Football League (CFL) in 2013.
 
 
 
Brown attended Union College and played Defensive Back. Overall, he recorded 182 total tackles, nine interceptions, eight blocked kicks, and forced six fumbles. He earned All Mid-South Conference Honors in his first three years at Union College.
 
 
 
Brown is a native of Daytona Beach, FL and attended high school at Atlantic High School in Port Orange, FL.
