Portland- Defensive Lineman Tyrone Ezell (6’4”,325) chose to sign with the Maine Mammoths for his second year of arena football. Ezell was a Lehigh Valley Steelhawk last season where he played one game that recorded one pass breakup. In 2014 Tyrone participated in NFL training camps for both the New Orleans Saints and the Houston Texans.
A graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, Ezell’s overall stats show him to be a reliable player. In his 4 year college career, he started 24 of the 38 games he played. He racked up 77 tackles (37 solo, 40 assisted). Not only did Tyrone have 10.5 tackles for a loss, but he recorded 6 sacks and 3 pass breakups.
Ezell is a native of Munhall, Pa. He attended Steel Valley High School where in his last two seasons, he played Defensive Tackle, in addition to, Offensive Guard.
